Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4.3 ounce Knorr pasta sides (I used the Chicken Fettucine variety)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Combine the dry pasta and its seasonings with water and butter in the insert pot of the Instant Pot. Stir.
  • Cook at high pressure for 4 minutes, then allow a 10 minute natural release of pressure before performing a quick release of remaining pressure.
  • Once the pressure has released and the valve has dropped, carefully open the lid. Stir the pasta well, then allow it to cool for a few minutes (the sauce will thicken as it cools). Serve warm.

Notes

  • You'll notice this technique requires less water than is called for on the package--that's because there's less evaporation when pressure cooking, so less water is needed.
  • You can bulk up this side into a main dish by adding diced boneless skinless chicken breasts and frozen veggies, and the cook time will remain the same.
