  • 1.5 lbs boneless country style pork ribs
  • 18 oz bottle barbecue sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch + 1 Tbsp water optional

Instructions
 

  • Place ribs into the insert pot of an Instant Pot.
  • Pour in barbecue sauce, water, garlic powder, and onion powder, stirring to combine well.
  • Secure lid on Instant Pot and set vent to "sealed."
  • Using the manual setting, select an 8 minute cook time.
  • Once cook time is complete, turn unit off and allow a natural pressure release.
  • After pressure has release and valve has dropped, carefully remove lid.
  • If you desire the sauce to be a bit thicker, remove ribs to a plate and select the saute function. Whisk cornstarch and water together in a small bowl to create a slurry. Add mixture to the sauce in the insert pot, stirring well to combine. Allow sauce to simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until thickened to your liking. Return ribs to pot, stirring to coat with sauce.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, or potatoes.

Notes

  • I most often use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, but choose whatever variety of BBQ sauce you prefer. Since it's a predominant flavor in this recipe, it's important that you use a version you like.
