Preheat oven to 325F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or in a large mixing bowl with an electric hand mixer), beat together butter, sugar, brown sugar, and molasses until smooth.
Add pumpkin puree and vanilla extract, mixing on low speed until incorporated.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves.
With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
In a small dish, combine cinnamon and sugar for rolling the dough in.
Use a small cookie scoop to scoop out rounds of dough. Roll into a ball in your hands, then roll each round of dough in the dish of cinnamon sugar to coat. Place onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a couple of inches of space in between.
Bake in preheated oven for about 12-14 minutes, until golden-brown.
Remove from oven and let cool on the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
