This easy strawberry gelato is bursting with fresh strawberry flavor and an ultra-creamy texture. It's a perfectly refreshing Ninja Creami treat for spring and summer!
Add sliced strawberries and sugar (or monkfruit sweetener) to a small mixing bowl. Stir to combine, then let sit for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, while the berries macerate and release their juices.
Combine berries and their juices with milk in a large liquid measuring cup. Use an immersion blender to blend together.
Add heavy whipping cream and stir to combine.
Pour mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container and close its lid. Transfer to a level surface in your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours.
Remove from freezer and take off the pint lid. Place the pint into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami, securing the outer bowl lid. Lock the outer bowl into place in the machine. Press the Gelato button and allow the cycle to complete.
Remove the gelato and check its consistency. If it looks crumbly or powdery, insert it back into the machine and use the Re-spin button to cycle it again. If it's still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of milk and Re-spin once more. It should be nice and creamy when it's ready. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to use monkfruit sweetener instead of sugar if preferred.
If your strawberries are not very ripe, you may need to add extra sugar/sweetener. Just give the mixture a taste before freezing, and add some more if necessary.
