Homemade peach butter is a delicious fruit spread that pairs the sweetness of ripe, fresh peaches with warm spices. You don't even have to peel the peaches, and it comes together easily in the slow cooker.
In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Stir well to coat the peaches with the sugar and spices.
Place lid on slow cooker and cook on the low setting for 6-8 hours, until the contents have deepened in color and peaches are very soft, stirring occasionally. If necessary, leave the lid partially propped open during the last hour or so to allow more liquid to evaporate.
Turn off slow cooker. If desired, use an immersion blender to blend the fruit butter until very smooth. For a chunker fruit butter, you can use a potato masher or the back of a wooden spoon to mash the fruit.
Transfer to jars and allow to cool completely.
