When the holiday season rolls around, we could all use a few simple recipes and tricks to create delicious and impressive dishes, but without all the fuss.
Boursin cheese is one of those multi-purpose ingredients that’s great to keep on hand because it can be used for so many things, and it automatically gives a rich flavor and texture.
One of my favorite easy appetizers to make is this cranberry Boursin dip–it combines the creamy, garlic and herb flavor of cheese with the zippy flavor of cranberry sauce, making a heavenly pairing.
It’s an easy, no-bake recipe you can whip up ahead of time, saving yourself last-minute stress.
I like to serve it with an assortment of crackers and sliced baguette, but you could also add crostini or bagel chips for another crunchy option.
It’s super easy and really delicious–perfect for adding to your Thanksgiving or Christmas spread!

Easy Cranberry Dip for the Holidays
For the cranberry sauce in this recipe, you have a few different options.
I love using homemade cranberry sauce, whether it’s leftover from a holiday meal or a batch I’ve made specifically for this dip.
My favorite substitute for homemade cranberry sauce is a jar of Stonewall Kitchen cranberry sauce or cranberry chutney.
However, you can also use canned whole berry cranberry sauce for a simple shortcut if needed–just steer clear of the jellied sauce.
I blend the Boursin cheese with some cream cheese and a little bit of heavy cream in my food processor, because it makes the cheese even creamier and easier to spread on crackers or bread.

Find the full printable recipe available below
Blend. First, you’ll combine Boursin cheese, cream cheese, and heavy cream in the bowl of a food processor.
Pulse until it’s smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Assemble. Transfer the cheese mixture to a small serving bowl or plate. I use this little Le Creuset baking dish.
Just before serving, spoon the cranberry sauce over the cheese mixture.

Serve. Then, you’ll serve the dip with your favorite dippers, such as a variety of crackers, sliced baguette, crostini, bagel chips, etc.

Notes and Adaptations:
- Feel free to double the recipe if you’re serving a larger crowd.
- I serve this slightly chilled or at room temperature (if it’s too cold, it’s hard to spread), but you could also warm the cheese mixture in the oven before topping with cranberry sauce, if you prefer a hot dip.
