Pizza is a big hit in my house, especially on the weekends. We love to make personalized pizzas and gather around the table for game night or curl up on the couch with a good movie.
Although I love making homemade pizza dough, sometimes you need something super quick and easy.
Air fryer naan pizza is both, but it’s also easy to customize so everyone gets the perfect pizza with toppings they love.
I used leftover Instant Pot Naan Bread, but storebought is fine, too! If you can’t find plain naan bread, pita bread is fairly similar and would make a fine substitute.
It’s fun to lay out the naan along with an assortment of toppings and let everyone prepare their pizza. Easy meals like this are a win in our family.
We simply pop them into the air fryer and a few minutes later everyone has their own air fryer flatbread pizza.
If you love pizza, you may also want to try these spicy beef flatbread pizzas. They are also a favorite and are made easily by using the pressure cooker.

Air Fryer Flatbread Pizza Topping Suggestions
The best part of these personal pizzas is that the sky’s the limit when it comes to homemade pizza. Prepare your family’s favorite toppings and let everyone prepare their own pizza as they like.
Such an easy way to get dinner on the table, and it’s way better than frozen pizza!
Here are a few topping combinations to get you started:
- Hawaiian Pizza – Top with ham or Canadian bacon and chopped pineapple.
- BBQ – Use BBQ sauce instead of tomato sauce and add pulled pork or shredded chicken and some red onions.
- Chicken Pesto – Top with pesto sauce and shredded chicken.
- Meat Lovers – Pile with pepperoni, sausage, bacon and ham over your marinara sauce and cheese.
- Cheese Bread – Spread your pizza base with roasted garlic and cheese and drizzle with honey before serving.
- Roasted Veggies – Top with roasted red peppers or bell pepper slices, cherry tomatoes, caramelized onions, and sauteed mushrooms.
- Taco – Spread cheese sauce and top with ground beef. After cooking, sprinkle with lettuce and tomatoes.
- Alfredo – Use alfredo sauce and top with a little fresh mozzarella and some shredded chicken and chopped spinach.
- Pepperoni – Top with pepperoni. It’s classic and it’s delicious.
How to Make Air Fryer Pizza with Naan Bread
It’s really easy to make naan pizza in the air fryer.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Naan Bread
- Pizza Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese (or other cheese of choice!)
- Pizza Toppings (as desired)
How to Make this Easy Recipe:
(Full printable recipe is available below)
Add the sauce. First, you’ll spread pizza sauce over one side of the naan bread. If desired, leave a bit of a border of the naan sauce-free, which will serve as the “crust” of the pizza.
Add the cheese and toppings. Next, you’ll sprinkle cheese over the sauce, adding your favorite pizza toppings as desired.

Air fry naan pizza. Then, you’ll place it in the basket of your air fryer.

Bake for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and starting to turn golden-brown.

Cut and serve. Last, you’ll use a spatula to carefully remove the pizza to a cutting board. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes and Adaptations:
- Feel free to adjust the amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings to your liking. This is a great way to customize personal pizzas, so you can easily change things up.
- You can also brush the naan with olive oil or sprinkle with seasonings, such as garlic powder, dried oregano, Italian seasoning, parmesan cheese, or crushed red pepper prior to baking in the air fryer.
- If you want to use mini naan bread, just know that you’ll need to cook them for less time. I’d suggest trying a cooking time of 2-3 minutes.
- Garlic naan or whole wheat naan, which are available in some grocery stores, are fine options, too.
- I don’t add parchment paper to my air fryer basket for these pizzas, but you’re welcome to do so for easier cleanup if you’d like.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in your refrigerator.
Recommended Equipment:
- Air fryer (I have a 7-quart Gourmia very similar to this one)
