Brownies with Brownie Mix and Pudding Mix

This shortcut recipe is a great way to get homemade results with less hassle.

Since both mixes come pre-measured and pre-flavored, it takes the guesswork out of baking, making it perfect for anyone–even if you’re not a seasoned baker.

Just stir it all together and bake! It doesn’t get much easier than that.

This method also gives you consistent flavor and texture every time. The pudding mix adds richness and moisture, while the brownie mix brings all that classic chocolate goodness.

Plus, it’s budget-friendly. You can usually find both mixes on sale (or I often buy my mixes at Aldi), which makes it an affordable way to whip up a dessert that tastes like a splurge.

Let them cool at least a little bit before slicing.

I love enjoying these warm with a scoop of ice cream, but they’re also delicious once they’re cooled completely.

Notes and Adaptations

  • These brownies are thick, moist, and cake-like.
  • Feel free to add some chocolate chips to the batter if you’d like–you can mix them into the batter or simply sprinkle them over the top of the batter before baking.
  • Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.
  • I prefer to use Ghirardelli brownie mix or Aldi’s Specially Selected brownie mix.
