The Ninja Creami has become super popular over the last few years, transforming the way many people make homemade ice cream and sorbet.

The handy appliance makes it so easy to create frozen treats that suit your dietary needs or flavor preferences, especially since you can use so many different ingredients in the machine.

Recently, the Ninja company released their newest Ninja Creami model: The Ninja Swirl.

It’s essentially a two-in-one appliance, operating as a traditional Ninja Creami does, but offering the additional feature of dispensing ice cream in soft serve form!

I recently purchased one to test out, and I’ve been having so much fun making different varieties of soft serve.

Because my Ninja Creami vanilla ice cream recipe is so popular, I knew I wanted to make a soft serve version. So I combined elements of that recipe with this vanilla pudding ice cream.

The result was this delicious Ninja Creami Swirl vanilla soft serve–with a delicious flavor and the perfect texture for serving up in a swirl!

How the Ninja Swirl by Creami Works

The Ninja Creami Swirl machine works very similarly to the original Ninja Creami machine.

You start out by making an ice cream base, which gets frozen in special pint containers for at least 24 hours.

Then the pint container is installed into the machine, and you choose a relevant setting on the machine to process your ice cream.

All of that is the same with the new machine, and you can enjoy scoopable treats just like you always could.

However, the new machine also has a “Soft Serve” function, which processes the ice cream base a little bit longer, ensuring it’s completely smooth and creamy.

Then you can transfer the pint container to the other side of the machine, where it can be dispensed in swirl formation, just like soft serve machines at McDonald’s or other restaurants.

For this recipe, I wanted the ice cream to be soft enough that it could be dispensed easily through the machine, but sturdy enough that it could stand up in an ice cream cone.

The result was perfectly delicious–silky smooth with just the right amount of vanilla flavor!

I’ve been looking for a classic soft serve recipe for a while and this is simple and tastes very authentic. I made with a regular Creami and it still works great.
