One of the things I love most about the Ninja Creami machine is how easy it makes it to whip up sweet treats, without a lot of effort on my part.

I’ve made no-churn ice creams for years, but once I started creating various Ninja Creami recipes, I was hooked by just how versatile of an appliance it is.

From making sorbet with canned fruit to restaurant-quality gelato at home, there are countless frozen desserts you can make.

It’s also easier to create treats that suit your dietary needs, which is where frozen yogurt comes in!

But because I like my desserts sweet, I wanted to make an Oreo version, which is how this Ninja Creami cookies and cream frozen yogurt was born.

It’s super simple, and it can be a better-for-you alternative than regular ice cream.

Ninja Creami Frozen Yogurt with Oreos

When making frozen yogurt in the Ninja Creami, I highly recommend using a full-fat yogurt.

Greek yogurt will give you a thick and creamy texture, but you can also use regular yogurt, which will result in more of a soft-serve type consistency.

I’ve used both kinds, but I tend to prefer the Greek yogurt.

For sweetness, you can use either regular sugar or monk fruit sweetener, such as Lakanto. And of course, the Oreo cookies will give some extra sweetness, too!

Freeze. Transfer the pint container to a level surface in your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours.

Spin. Remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid. Insert the pint into the outer bowl of the machine.

Lock the outer bowl lid into place, then secure the outer bowl into the machine.

Use the Ice Cream button (or the Frozen Yogurt button on the Ninja Creami Swirl) to process the frozen yogurt.

Re-spin if needed. Once the first spin is complete, check the yogurt’s texture. If it appears crumbly, you can use the Re-spin cycle to spin it again.

Mix-in. Create a well in the center of the ice cream that’s about an inch wide and extends to the bottom of the pint.

Add chopped Oreo cookies into the well, then insert the pint back into the machine. Press the Mix-in button.

Notes and Adaptations:

  • You can use regular yogurt or Greek yogurt for this recipe. Regular yogurt will result in a soft-serve type texture (as pictured), whereas Greek yogurt will result in a thicker, creamier texture. I usually use whatever I have on hand, but I tend to prefer Greek yogurt for its texture.
  • I use unsweetened yogurt. If you’re using sweetened yogurt, you can decrease the amount of sugar/sweetener you add to the base.
