Tips for Making Big Mac Pinwheels

  • Use soft, fresh tortillas to make rolling easier and to prevent cracking. If your tortillas feel a little stiff, pop them in the microwave for a few seconds to soften them up.
  • Let them chill before slicing. This step is key! Chilling helps everything set so your Big Mac pinwheels stay neat and hold their shape.
  • Customize the fillings. These pinwheels are super flexible—add a little chopped onion, swap the Thousand Island for your favorite burger sauce, or use ground turkey instead of beef if you prefer.
  • Make them ahead of time. Big Mac tortilla bites are an ideal make-ahead appetizer. You can prep them the night before, then slice and serve when you’re ready.
  • Pack them for lunch. This cheeseburger roll-up is a fun lunchbox surprise, and it’s great for road trips or picnic days too. Tuck a little container of extra dressing on the side for dipping!
