When spring and summer roll around, we love enjoying ruby red strawberries in all possible forms.

Whether we’re making my great-grandma’s old-fashioned strawberry shortcake, an easy Bisquick strawberry cobbler, or this Ninja Creami strawberry sorbet, there’s no shortage of ways to use up the ripe bounty of the season.

And I have to say, of all of the amazing Ninja Creami recipes I’ve made and loved, this strawberry sorbet is hands-down the most-requested variety of them all in our home.

It’s just SO good! I find that it perfectly showcases the natural sweetness and flavor of fresh strawberries, without being sickly sweet.

I often make multiple pints of this sorbet at a time, because it disappears so quickly in our home. My kids will devour it in no time flat.

Best of all, it’s crazy easy to make! I’m sure it will become a favorite in your home, too.

Fresh Strawberry Sorbet in the Ninja Creami

One of the things I love most about the Ninja Creami machine is the ability to make a delicious treat with minimal effort.

This strawberry sorbet is the proof–you only need three ingredients, and really, one of those is optional, so technically just two ingredients.

It does help if you can use the ripest strawberries you can find, since they’ll be the most flavorful and sweet.

You can also adjust the sweetness according to your preference, or even use an alternative sweetener if you prefer.

Monk fruit sweetener is a great option if you’re trying to cut back on added sugar, or if you want this recipe to be Weight-Watchers friendly.

How to Make It:

Puree the berries. First, you’ll combine the berries, sugar (or monkfruit sweetener), and lemon juice (if using) in the bowl of a food processor. You can also use a blender.

Pulse the ingredients until a smooth puree has formed.

Freeze. Pour the puree into a Ninja Creami pint container, being careful to not fill it past the max fill line marked on the container.

Place it on a level surface in your freezer and let it freeze for at least 24 hours.

Spin. Next, you’ll remove the frozen pint from the freezer and take off its lid.

Place the pint into the Ninja Creami machine’s outer bowl, then lock the outer bowl lid into place.

Secure the outer bowl into the machine and press the Sorbet button.

Re-spin if needed. Last, you’ll remove the pint from the machine once the cycle has finished. Check the sorbet’s consistency.

If it looks kind of crumbly or powdery after the first spin, pop it back into the Ninja Creami ice cream maker and use the Re-spin button to cycle it again.

If it’s still crumbly after that, you can add a tablespoon of water to the strawberry sorbet, then Re-spin it one more time. It should have a smooth and creamy texture after that.

Serve and enjoy–this is perfect for a hot summer day!

Notes and Adaptations

  • Lemon juice is optional, though I find it “brightens” the flavor a bit, so I use it whenever I have it. But I’ve made the sorbet with and without the lemon juice, and it’s delicious either way, so if you don’t have any on hand, don’t sweat it. You could also use lime juice if you want!
  • Monk fruit sweetener is an easy way to cut back on added sugar with this recipe, if needed.
