Easy Air Fryer Frozen Dumplings (Potstickers)

Steamy, moist and tender Instant Pot frozen potstickers dipped in soy sauce have become one of my favorite snacks or appetizers.

I’ve cooked the frozen dumplings in the Instant Pot, which is so quick and easy. They are almost as good as takeout dumplings!

But in an effort to get them a little bit more crispy, I decided to try cooking frozen potstickers in the air fryer.

Air fryer frozen dumplings are just as easy to prepare as Instant Pot frozen dumplings, but the meaty filling is hot and tender and the dough is extra crispy.

So you get that nice crunch when you bite into them.

It’s so simple to make potstickers in air fryer!

They make the perfect after-school snack, party appetizer or a satisfying main dish when paired with stir-fried veggies or one of these Instant Pot Asian inspired recipes.

Useful Tips for Air Fryer Frozen Dumplings

  • Do not defrost the dumplings. Go from freezer to air fryer.
  • Spray the dumplings with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
  • Don’t stack the dumplings. Leave space between them so air can circulate.
  • You may want to flip the potstickers in air fryer halfway through cooking.
  • The amount of potstickers you can fit in your air fryer will depend on the size of the basket. Cook them in batches if necessary.
  • Frozen dumplings come in different sizes, shapes, and thickness of wrapper. These variables can cause differences in cook time. That’s why it’s a good idea to check them at 6 minutes, then add time as needed.
  • Need a simple dipping sauce? Combine equal amounts of sesame oil and soy sauce and add a pinch of sesame seeds.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat leftover dumplings for 2 minutes in the air fryer.

How to Air Fryer Frozen Potstickers

It’s really easy to make frozen dumplings in air fryer.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • Frozen Potstickers
  • Oil Spray

How to Make It:

Arrange the potstickers. First, you’ll add frozen dumplings, in a single layer, to the basket of your air fryer.

Spray with oil. Next, you’ll spray both sides of the dumplings with oil (or lightly brush with oil).

Cook the dumplings. Then, you’ll cook at 375F for 6 minutes. At that point, check to see if desired crispness has been reached. If not, continue air frying for 3-5 minutes more.

Serve. Last, you’ll remove from air fryer and serve warm with dipping sauce, if desired.
