Easy and Flavorful Lemon Sherbet in the Ninja Creami
The Ninja Creami makes it SO easy to make frozen treats at home.
One of the best things about the Creami is how versatile it is—you can make everything from ice cream to sorbet to frozen yogurt to milkshakes to sherbet, all with the same machine.
Plus, I love how easy it is to get creative with flavors.
While this Ninja Cream recipe uses Jell-O mix for its flavor, the possibilities are truly endless.
It’s a fun way to experiment in the kitchen and come up with flavors that are perfect for you and your family.
How to Make Ninja Creami Lemon Sherbet
It’s really easy to make this simple treat!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Milk
- Lemon Jell-O Gelatin Mix
- Heavy Cream
- Lemon Zest
How to Make It:
(Full printable recipe card is available below)
Dissolve the Jell-O. First, you’ll combine milk and dry lemon Jell-O mix.
Whisk until powder has dissolved.
Prepare the sherbet base. Next, you’ll add heavy cream and lemon zest, mixing to combine.
Then, pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container.
Freeze the mixture. Next, you’ll close the lid on the pint container. Transfer it to a level surface in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
Spin the sherbet. Remove the pint from freezer and take off the lid.
Place the pint container into the Ninja Creami’s outer bowl, locking the outer bowl lid into place.
Secure the outer bowl into the Ninja Creami machine, locking it into position. Press the Ice Cream button and allow the cycle to complete.
Re-spin if needed. Remove the pint from the machine and check its texture.
If it appears powdery or crumbly, insert it back into the machine and press the Re-spin button.
If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of milk and re-spin again.
Notes and Adaptations:
- This is a refreshing sherbet with a mild lemon flavor–it’s not too tart. The lemon zest helps to add some additional flavor beyond the gelatin mix. If you want a more pronounced flavor, you could also add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of lemon extract to the base. Just give it a taste before you freeze it to determine if you want to add the extract.
- To serve leftovers of this sherbet, I recommend allowing the pint to sit out at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften slightly.

Can you tell me what percent milk to use in this recipe?
Thank
You
Chrysti Benner says
Hi Karen! I used 2% milk, but you can use skim or whole if you prefer. The amount of fat in the milk doesn’t make much difference in this case, since this recipe includes heavy cream as well. So whatever you have on hand should be fine! 🙂
Katrina says
Can I use protein powder in this?
Chrysti Benner says
Hi Katrina! I haven’t tried it myself, but I think you probably could!
