I’m a sucker for pretty much all fruit pies and fruit cobblers, especially when they’re served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
It’s just one of those simple desserts that reminds me of my mom’s homemade pies when I was a kid, so there’s definitely an element of nostalgia to it.
And although I enjoy baking a deep dish peach pie from scratch when I have the time, the reality is I often don’t have the time for peeling peaches, rolling out crust, etc.
That’s why I love a good shortcut recipe!
Bisquick cobblers have been a favorite time-saver of mine for a while, and I’ve made several varieties that have all been delicious.
I know you’ll love how easy it is to make this Bisquick peach cobbler that uses canned peaches, so you can enjoy it any time of year!
Don’t have Bisquick on hand? You can either make your own Bisquick or make my cake mix peach cobbler dump cake instead!

Making Cobbler with Canned Peaches
Since this recipe uses canned peaches, it’s a budget-friendly option you can make any time of year. Just keep a can or two in your pantry at all times and you’ll be set!
To make this cobbler, I like to drain off some of the syrup the peaches are canned in. That’s because the topping doesn’t absorb much liquid as it bakes.
Adding some cornstarch and spices to the peaches helps the liquid to thicken up, so it’s more of a pie filling consistency once it’s baked and cooled for a bit.
It’s one of my favorite recipes to make with canned peaches, and once you try it, I think you’ll see why!

Prepare the filling. First, you’ll drain off some of the syrup from the can of peaches. Then pour the peaches and remaining syrup into the pie pan.
Sprinkle with cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then stir to combine everything well.

Make the batter. Then, you’ll combine Bisquick, sugar, milk, and melted butter in a mixing bowl and whisk until it’s smooth.

Assemble and bake. Then, you’ll scoop spoonfuls of batter over the peach mixture and transfer the dish to the oven.
Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is nice and bubbly and the crust is starting to turn light golden-brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving, to allow the liquid to thicken as it cools.
Then serve and enjoy!

Notes and Adaptations:
- The filling will continue to thicken as the cobbler cools.
- Leftovers should be covered well and refrigerated.
- If you don’t have a deep dish pie plate, you can use a 9×13″ baking dish, an iron skillet, or a 2-quart baking dish.

Recommended Equipment:

- Serve warm or let it cool completely. We love to add some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top!
Notes

- The filling will continue to thicken as the cobbler cools.
- Leftovers should be covered well and refrigerated.
- If you don’t have a deep dish pie plate, you can use a 9×13″ baking dish, an iron skillet, or a 2-quart baking dish.
